Healthy Georgia Awards
on October 10th at the College Football Hall of Fame
in Downtown Atlanta.
Join business and community leaders from all sectors across the state of Georgia to recognize successful efforts in childhood health and wellness while we honor our award winners.
Award Overview
The Healthy Georgia Award is given across 3 sectors - non-profits, municipalities, and school districts in Georgia who are performing extraordinary work to promote and execute youth health and wellness. The Award is presented by the Office of Lt. Governor Casey Cagle, Georgia Shape and Georgia Department of Public Health. Winners will be recognized at the College Football Hall of Fame on Monday, October 10, 2016.
There will be 9 total awards given with 3 awards within each sector
Innovation Award winners are revolutionaries and groundbreakers who achieve impact through creative thought and outside the box action. Championing for health and wellness within their own communities, they aim to transform traditional methods, perspectives and approaches while celebrating diversity.
All Star Award winners recognize the acclaimed organizations working at forefront of Georgia's health and wellness movement. They are celebrated figures noted for their advocacy and extreme accomplishments within the public-realm. Revered leaders among the community at large, there are multiple partnerships with measure impact of programming.
The Legacy Award celebrates people of enduring impact whose robust efforts have helped to shape the landscape of health, nutrition and safety in Georgia. They are community role models, respected leaders and key stakeholders dedicated to cultivating a climate of continual growth and advancement within the arena of health and wellness through helping others and implementing best practices for others to flourish.
