Braves Foundation Offers Grants to Fund Kids’ Programs
Organizations that promote health, education and recreation for Georgia’s kids can get a little help from the Atlanta Braves Foundation.
Braves Give, the community outreach arm of the Braves Foundation, is now accepting applications for grants to fund programs that provide young people with enriching opportunities, including after-school programs, health and wellness efforts, anti-bullying campaigns, athletic programs and more. In 2012, the foundation gave $250,000 in grants to 28 organizations.
"One of the core values of the Atlanta Braves is to serve as goodwill ambassadors for our community," Derek Schiller, executive vice president of Atlanta Braves, said in a press release. "Together with the generous support of our incredible fans and community partners, we are pleased to invest in organizations that deliver a positive impact to the youth of metro Atlanta."
The foundation will give grants of $500 to $10,000 to organizations that apply. Applications need to be submitted online by July 31, 2013.
